HQ 25th Anniversary

On Saturday 20th September 1980, Her Grace Lavinia, Duchess of Norfolk, opened the new headquarters of the 8th Worthing Sea Scout Group. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of this landmark event in the history of the Group, we will be holding a special meal in the headquarters on Saturday 17th September 2005. All past and present members, family and friends who are 18 or over are cordially invited to attend. Sorry - no children.

We do not intend to make any profit out of this event and have kept the cost as low as possible to encourage as many people to attend as possible. The cost will be just ú15 per head which will include 3 courses of generous portioned homemade food accompanied by a glass of wine and followed by coffee. All waitress service by outside caterers. Additional wine and beer will be able to be purchased at your table from the waitresses.

There will be a set menu. The starter will be a selection of pÔtÚs (carrot, mushroom, chicken and smoked salmon) served with Melba Toasts. The main course will be chicken in a watercress and brie sauce served with new potatoes and seasonal vegetables. There will be a Quorn alternative available for vegetarians. The desert will be seasonal.

Dress code will be smart casual (no uniform). Arrive at 7:00pm to eat at 7:30pm. The evening will end by 10:30pm or whenever you wish to leave before.

If you would like a night off from cooking and would like to join in our celebration with us, please download the letter, fill in the slip at the bottom and return it with the full payment no later than Friday 22nd July. Please return to your Section Leader or direct to Barbara Wells at the address at the bottom of the letter.
